Cairn Terrier

This dog has been known since the 1500s, but was first publicly presented in 1909 and then became popular after 1930. Cairns are one of Scotland's original terriers. Today they are probably contributors to Scottish, West Highland White and Skye terrier breeds. The Cairn terrier is mainly a companion dog. They also excel at terrier trials. Some of the talents of these dogs include hunting, tracking, watch dogging, quickness, competitive obedience and performing tricks.
